On November 3, 2010 McKenzie was baptised by her father Joshua. Kenzie was so nervous that she wouldn't be able to hold her breath long enough and she ended up doing great.
I must say that I do have the worlds most beautiful girls. Halloween was super fun, Emma was an adorable super girl and since Emma was super Taylor insisted on being a super elephant. McKenzie was a punk rocker even though I told her she looked way to sweet to be a punk rocker. Anyways we went to the wards trunk-o-treat and had fun.
We had McKenzie and Baylee's birthday party together at the Holiday Inn swimming pool it was a blast and they had so much fun. I can't believe McKenzie is eight years old!
We took the kids up on the Kaibab to look for pine nuts with Ben & Jill and their kids. It was a little windy but we had fun just getting out of town. The kids found lots of pine nuts and ate even more we cooked hotdogs and smores, and Trey put the fire out by peeing on it. We had tons of fun hopefully we can do it again before it gets to cold.
This is Emma on her first day at Crazy Grandma's pre-school. She was so excited to wear her new clothes and be a big kid in school. I can't believe how fast my kids are growing it's crazy!
This last weekend was the fee free weekend at the North Rim so we took the girls up foor the day. Mostly it was an excuse to drive past Jacob Lake and get cookies. We had tons of fun and were super tired when we finally got home.
We went camping with Josh's family up at Tropic and we had alot of fun. Emma really was there she just never would leave her cousins so I didn't get any pics of her.
Kenzie caught a few fish with her dad and Taylor ate them.
Taylor wanted to drink all day out of this spring!
We went for another one of Josh's "little" hikes it ended up being straight down a mile which meant we had to walk straight back up. Anyways about halfway down it starts pouring rain on us the kind of drops that soak your face. Kenzie is whining because she is cold and Taylor is laughing because we are all wet and muddy and she gets to chillax in the "daughter pack". So Emma decides she will lead us all out because she a big girl and she wants to be the leader. It was so cute she walked the whole way out straight out no whining or anything. She even sang to us the whole way. It ended up being a little miserable but isn't that how memories are made?
We went on a little family trip out today we found a very cool trail that took us through some crazy beautiful land. Anyways we got tired and had tons of fun. The dog and Emma just about gave out on us but you can't blame em it was pretty hard hiking for a four year old and a puppy. Kenzie takes after her dad and raced us all to the top and won of course Josh had to stay behind to drag me and carry Emma and the dog.
This picture is right on a seriously high drop off into the grand canyon needless to say I was not super comfortable with Kenzie sitting so close.
So we were pretty devastated when BT got stolen from our yard and the kids have been begging for another dog. So we looked on KSL and found this puppy in Delta, ut. She is sooo cute and the kids love her hopefully I can train her since Josh is gone all the time.
So Josh decided to take us on a SMALL hike so we headed off and immediately I knew I would regret the choice to come. He drove to what looked like a ledge that went about a mile but assured us that is me and the kids we would be able to get down no problem, and we did. Emma and McKenzie slid on their bums most of the way while Josh and I with Taylor in the backpack had to walk sideways so we didn't slide to our deaths. The whole time going down this very steep hill I knew eventually I would have to walk back up but I tried not think about such things. Anyways we got to the bottom Josh took us to a spring where there was water hole and the kids got naked and played in the water for awhile it was really beautiful and tons of fun but then we had to walk back. I decided Kenzie and I would go ahead because I kew I would need ample rest time what a mistake she is just like Josh. The whole time she practically ran up this cliff and every time I tried to rest she would say " Just make it 20 more feet mom and we will rest" I wanted to smack her for being so tuff. We all made it to the top even Emma who is only 4 walked the whole way we were super proud. Next week we are going on another hike hopefully i survive.
Some of my family came to visit from Snowflake and we all went out to see Devils prison which is just a giant hole in the ground about 200 feet deep. So I was anervous wreck chasing the girls around without Josh to make sure they didn't become prisoners. They had tons of fun though and it turned out being a beautiful day.
Taylor insisted on wearing her counsin Treys shorts all day even when we went to the horses. I tried to put pants on her but she screamed saying "these are beautiful". It was so hilarious, she does look super cute.
Emma turned four years old today. I can't believe she is so big. She asked me this morning mommy am I a big girl yet? I told her she will always be my baby, and she said I don't want to be your baby I want to be your big girl. SO Cute!!!! I can't wait to see the things she does as she gets older, but I will miss my baby.
Mckenzie had a gymnastics preformance last night at the basketball games in Kanab. She did so awesome and her wonderful Aunt Amanda took some cool pics of her.
Josh and I have been married 9 years and have three of the greatest kids. McKenzie 6, Emma 3, and Taylor 1. We are both going to school and can't wait till were done. Life is an adventure and I'm lovin every minute.
